With the help of a law firm, she was able to prove that as a pregnant inmate, she was ignored in her cell when she tried to alert staff of that she needed hospitalization and then lost her unborn child on the way to the hospital to give birth because the jail guards escorting her stopped for coffee on the way to the hospital.
