This is a temporary holding facility only, and will hold inmates only if they are already pending release on bail or without, or if they are set to be transferred to an alternative Kern County location.

As there are no long term inmates at Kern County - Ridgecrest Jail there are no educational programs or life skills classes, however there is full access to medical care and mental health support is provided as needed. Meals are provided three times each day, and no commissary is present.
