Educational programs ensure that each of the inmates within Kern County Justice Facility will be able to obtain a GED or to gain ongoing adult education to provide them with the ability to continue their education outside of the facility or to gain better employment than they may have qualified for previously.
Along with mental health and medical care, all healthy meals, commissary, recreation time both inside and out, and exercise are provided to maintain the health of each of the inmates.

Any magazines that contain profanity, weapons, pornography or other content that is adult in nature will be confiscated by the jail staff and will NOT be delivered to the inmate.
