Since its closure, young offenders and youth requiring temporary or short term housing while they await transfers to other housing options, are housed at the Martha K. Glaze RYDC in Hampton Georgia. This facility was previously the Clayton RYDC but has since been renamed. Youth receive the same safety, security, and services as the closed Griffin facility.
