They are able to maintain contact with their family and friends outside of the jail, but inmates are registered in programs, receive full medical care, are treated for any addictions or substance abuse concerns, and will receive mental health as well as attend educational classes.
Each inmate is assessed upon their arrival to be assigned to a housing unit, where they will be housed with people who have similar criminal histories and security needs, and they will find that each of the housing units has a common area that they can use for social interactions, eating, and writings letters or reading.
Recreational activities and spaces are also provided, along with healthy meals and opportunities for personal growth. Medical care is available around the clock, and there are religious services for those who attend, a library in each housing unit along with an exercise yard, and newspapers and magazines may be provided by families. Board games and other table top games are available for use in the common areas for their free time.
