What is Unsecured bail?


Unsecured bail is when the court releases you on your signature and your personal word that you will show up to court on your date(s). There is no money that changes hands when an unsecured bail is granted by the judge.

However, if you fail to appear you may owe some money, but that will be least of your troubles.
