About the Eau Claire County Jail-Huber Center

The Eau Claire County Jail-Huber Center in Wisconsin is just like being in jail, except you have the 'freedom' of going to work six days a week, looking for work if you don't have a job,looking after your family members and/or attend school or treatment programs. Being remanded to Huber is no different then being sent to jail.  If you don't follow the rules by showing up, you will get in trouble with the courts and get more time, this time in lockup.

When you get sentenced to Huber, report directly to the Eau Claire County Jail-Huber Center located at the Eau Claire County Jail 710 Second Ave., Eau Claire, WI 54703, and use door C11E.

When in the Huber sentencing program you can be out for twelve hours a day, six days a week.  the seventh day you have to stay in the jail.   You can use your vehicle, your bicycle, public transportation or walk.

Huber is not for everybody. Some offenders find that doing jail time; sleeping all day and playing cards is an easier way to completing their sentence.
