About the Maximum Correctional Center

True to its name, the Maximum Correctional Center is the maximum security facility for Davidson County and houses the male and female inmates who are determined to require the highest levels of security for both their own sake and the safety of the community.

Currently, only male inmates are held at this location, with the female inmates being transferred to the alternative locations within Davidson County including the Womens Correctional Center or the downtown location.  

It has a maximum capacity of 508 inmates and can be reached at 615-862-8123.

To provide access to programs that fit each individual, many of the programs at this location are provided virtually and are accessible by kiosk or tablet, while others are provided onsite by licensed teachers and other professionals.

Programs are educational or rehabilitative, providing tools and skills to create healthy lives, obtain reliable employment, and for personal growth.

Due to the increased security, housing units often operate as a single unit and will not have free access to other units or the inmates who are housed within them. In person visits may be limited, with video visitation being provided and accessible both in kiosk onsite and remotely

What is the Cost of a Remote Video Visit?
Costs vary and are subject to change, but generally visits range from $5.00 to $15.00 for a 15 to 30 minute online or on-site video visit.

How do you know if your Inmate will be available during the time you schedule?
The Securus system knows the times that Maximum Correctional Center inmates are available for remote video visits.
It will not allow you to schedule a visit with your inmate if they are not available or the video visitation kiosk(s) in the jail are booked already.
Once you schedule a visit with your inmate they will be notified of the date and time of the visit.
