The Darlington County Prison Camp was built in the early 1930s and has been upgraded over the years, having 51 medium security beds for male inmates spread across the large section of land in separate buildings and surrounded by fencing and open land. Skills that the inmates already possess can assist in getting assigned jobs that allow them to keep those skills fresh, or they may learn new skills that are highly employable as well as maintain a work history during incarceration.
Each will gain life skills, employable skills, and gain discipline while enjoying the benefits to mental and physical health that are found by contributing and working within the community.
