⇓ Learn more ⇓ Show lessThe Men’s Community Correction is the section of the Correctional Campus for Buck County that houses all the male inmates. It was opened in 1991 to replace the rehabilitation center that had been in use in 1963.
This facility houses the Work Release program and offers support to the inmates in meeting their goals and completing their sentences while providing meals, housing, and programs. Inmates who are sentenced to pay restitution or fines, or who ow back child support, can use the Work Release program to earn the money they need.
Only those who require minimum security can qualify, and they are then permitted to leave the facility during working hours to attend their job, pay a portion to the jail for room and board, and the remainder goes to the money that they owe or to maintain child support obligations while incarcerated.
The Community Service program is also operated from this facility and arranges for inmates to perform work tasks around the community and for nonprofit organizations as a way to give back during their incarceration.
Men who are housed in this facility have access to tablets to make outgoing calls, have video visits with their friends and family, and other uses.
These visits do not require scheduling with a Visit Now feature, and allow flexibility to inmates who are serving work release or community service as well. This service is provided through GTL and can be accessed via app or gettingout.com.
Visiting hours are arranged by the jail, and at this time the visiting hours for in person visits at the men’s facility are on Saturdays between 8am and 8pm, with specific hours for specific dorms, so it is necessary to be provided with the dorm information from the inmate before a visit can be scheduled.
After an arrest, individuals are taken to Bucks Men's Community Corrections for the booking process, where their identity is confirmed, charges are reviewed, and decisions are made about whether they will be released on bail or detained.
The arrested individual should remain silent during booking, as anything said could be used against them. It’s important to wait for legal representation before answering questions.
The booking process at Bucks Men's Community Corrections includes the following steps:
