To assist in these goals, work opportunities are provided for each inmate, and they will work up to 7 days a week. Jobs include cleaning, kitchen details and help with food services, custodian assignments, maintenance of the grounds, recycling center positions, work release that includes work outside of the jail, and electric monitoring for those who are maintaining their previous employment.
Recreation and mental health counselling are provided to boost morale and mental health during incarceration. Television, card games, board games, and other activities are provided in the dayroom as well as outdoor recreation opportunities. Medical care and a fitness room are available to maintain the physical health of inmates during their incarceration.
Visits are permitted and encouraged, with visiting hours for male inmates being Wednesday 1pm - 3pm, and for female inmates Friday 1pm-3pm. Other visits may be scheduled with the inmate during their free time during the week, which will vary by inmate. All visits must be approved by staff before they are confirmed, for which they can be contacted at 541-396-7850 between 1pm and 3pm weekdays, only those who have been requested by the adult in custody will be granted a visit of one half hour.
