Spring Mountain Youth Camp Information

With a capacity for 100 juveniles and an elevation of over 8,000 feet the Spring Mountain Youth Camp provides therapeutic treatments, education, social, and recreational needs of all the youth. It averages around 240 residents each year, and only male juveniles are accepted. Most will be there for an average of 6 months, and on average they are 15 years old. The school within the campus is operated by the Clark County School District and provides ongoing education that is equal to the classwork of that grade at the local public school. Anyone who is staying at the facility will be required to attend programs that are key to their progress and successful rehabilitation. Programs are in place that allow for sports teams to play against those of other facilities, and this encourages teamwork and friendly competition. In addition to regular school classes, they will also develop skills, socials skills, attend programs that address substance abuse, counseling, and other learning opportunities. Mental health treatments are provided through group and individual settings, and vocational programs may provide employable skills.
