Permitted to hold inmates for only up to 24 hours, the Dodge County Jail provides for the immediate detention needs of all offenders, both felony and misdemeanor, for Dodge County only as they are booked and processed before they are transferred to the Saunders County Corrections Facility.  Once each year the inventory that has not been picked up for personal items of inmates is taken and they are managed accordingly. Phones are present and allow inmates to make calls as needed, and they will also be able to receive and send mail, make calls, and have visits once they have been transferred to the other location.
