Situated between the DMV and a bank, the 168-bed Saunders County Correction Facility is within the Law Enforcement and Judicial Center has a sally port located on the side of the hill, easy access and parking for visitors and staff, and stands two stories high with small, squared windows where the cells are located.
Within the Law Enforcement building is the courthouse, the jail, and offices for the sheriff.
Both misdemeanor and felony charged offenders from Saunders County are booked and held at the Saunders County Correction Facility, both as they wait for their trial or sentencing and also as they serve a short sentence, under a year in length.
