It is a small facility that is intended mostly to house youth who are considered to be a danger to themselves or their community, or they may be waiting for a placement at an alternative housing location. A full time school program is offered through the Saginaw Intermediate School District and allows youth to keep up with their classes when they are residing in the facility. Each of the staff members treat others with respect and model positive behavior for the youth, creating a positive environment and setting a good example for the expected behaviors. Programs are provided to encourage life skills and social skill development, and both individual and group activities are scheduled each week. Medical and dental care, along with healthy meals are also key parts of the programming.
