Any questions regarding inmates' status, bail, arraignment, or other questions the office can be contacted at 606-878-9431 and an online lookup provides around the clock updates. The inmates are offenders arrested in Laurel County that have recently been arrested for a felony or misdemeanor, are awaiting trial, or have been found guilty for their crime(s) and have been sentenced to one year or less.
Between both the male and the female facilities, the Laurel County Correctional Center can house 800 inmates, however the male and female divisions are in separate buildings (See photos)
Upon arrival there will be a booking, and then an assessment which will determine the housing assignment and the level of security that the inmate will require.
Court dates for arraignment are:
Healthy meals, laundry services, janitorial, indoor and outdoor recreation spaces and activities, and educational opportunities are all present. Rehabilitation and treatment for addiction, anger management, counseling, and other supports are also provided to all inmates based upon their assessment when they arrive.
The Laurel County Correctional Center does permit inmates to communicate with people outside of the facility, however they may not have outside contact with others who are incarcerated in any other facility, who are on parole or probation, or who have an order of protection against them.

While messages and photos will not be accepted and passed to inmates through the jail staff, inmates can receive them from famly and friends digitally. They will have regular access to phones and will be able to call their friends or family daily. Each new inmate will be entitled to two (2) free five (5) minute phone calls upon intake.
To support an inmate by sending funds for phone calls, commissary, and other uses they will have an account online that allows friends or family to provide money, or it can be added through the kiosk located in the jail lobby.
Inmates can receive visits via video services, both remotely and at their facilities.
After an arrest, individuals are taken to Laurel County Correctional Center for the booking process, where their identity is confirmed, charges are reviewed, and decisions are made about whether they will be released on bail or detained.

Collect Calls
Collect calls allow you to accept and pay for calls to your land line (only) phone account. This means that if you accept your call from your inmate, all the charges for that call will then be billed to your land line phone account and will show up and be listed on your next local phone bill. Additional fees, costs, restrictions may apply.
Prepaid calls (Direct Calls)
With Prepaid Calls you can set up your account so that the inmate can only call you and/or you can just deposit money in their account and they can purchase prepaid phone cards through their commissary and call whoever they choose, provided the Laurel County Correctional Center approves of the phone number.
Quick Connect
