As a short term facility, most of the youth in the location are waiting for their trial to begin or they are waiting for their sentence to be received. If a short sentence is required, they may serve their full sentence at this location, but those with a longer sentence will be moved to the long term housing facility. Along with regular public school education, computer classes and a library are located onsite, and there are parenting classes, financial literacy classes, life skills and social skills activities, as well as time for exercise and recreation.
