Denver Downtown Detention Center operates around the clock and is fully staffed at all times, for questions regarding an inmate or a program they can be contacted at 720-913-3600.
Throughout the building all staff are well trained, and the focus remains on safety, security, and preparing inmates for their reintegration into the community when they are released. Programs such as journaling, human services outreach, religious counseling, reentry services and preparation, mental health support, and GED and other educational opportunities are present at both Denver Downtown Detention Center as well as its partner location Denver County Jail.
In addition to these programs the Denver Downtown Detention Center offers Productive Day which offers information and enrichment with educational DVDs and other displays to encourage the choice of career, how to improve their own grown, and others, as well as the Change Pod which houses inmates who are strongly focused on change with cognitive behavior, substance abuse, and education that will help them to move towards their goals quickly.

At Denver Downtown Detention Center visits are up to 30 minutes and may occur twice a week, onsite visits are 7am-10am, 12pm-2pm, 3pm-4pm and 6pm-9pm daily, with remote visit being available daily 7am-10am, 11:30am-2pm, and 5pm-9pm.

Video Visitation allows 'approved' friends, family members, attorneys and clergy of an inmate to connect with them using their computer, Securus Video Visitation app, or ‘on-site’ kiosk.

What is the Cost of a Remote Video Visit?
Costs vary and are subject to change, but generally visits range from $5.00 to $15.00 for a 15 to 30 minute online or on-site video visit.
How do you know if your Inmate will be available during the time you schedule?
The Securus system knows the times that Denver Downtown Detention Center inmates are available for remote video visits.

The Denver Downtown Detention Center allows books to be mailed directly to the jail from a reputable source such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble or Books-A-Million. You can order them directly from your computer and have them shipped to the inmate at the address above.
Books must NOT contain images or content that are considered excessively violent, pornographic or obscene. Any book that does not meet the Denver Downtown Detention Center standards will be disposed of. No more than three books may be shipped at any one time.
