How to Deposit Money in a Menard Reception and Classification Center Inmate's Account

There are five ways to deposit money in an inmate's account in the Illinois Department of Correction:

  • Jpay Online Deposits
  • Western Union using Send2Corrections
  • GTL
  • Moneygram
  • United States Postal Service - Mailing a Payment

In order to do any of these you need to know the exact name the inmate is incarcerated under, and their Inmate ID#.

If you can't find the inmate and booking number online, call the IDOC at 217-558-2200.



1.  Menard Reception and Classification Center and JPAY.

  • First, you need to know the exact spelling of the inmate's name and inmates ID #
  • You can send money to an inmate/offender's commissary/spendable account through the Send Money page.
  • There are two ways to send money to an inmate/offender in {Menard Reception and Classification Center using Jpay.

  2. Over the phone by calling 800-574-5729

 

2.  Menard Reception and Classification Center and Send2Corrections.

First, you need to know the exact spelling of the inmate's name and the inmate ID#.



3. Menard Reception and Classification Center and GTL

Menard Reception and Classification Center uses GTL Connect Network, also known as Viapath Technologies, to facilitate family members and friends to make deposits directly into their Trust Fund Commissary Account that can be used for communication services.

The inmate can then use the money to purchase products from commissary or services such as secure messages and phone calls.
Deposits can be made 24/7 online or by telephone by calling 888-988-4768, or by using the Menard Reception and Classification Center kiosk.

5.  Menard Reception and Classification Center and Mailing a Payment



When sending an inmate money by mail, the Menard Reception and Classification Center will only accept:

  • US Postal Money Orders

**Important Notes**

Individuals in custody may receive money orders not exceeding $999.99.

Money orders must be sent with the lockbox deposit slip and complete with the individual in custody’s name, IDOC individual in custody number, sender’s name, and address.

Deposit slips can be obtained at each facility or here.

The money orders should be made payable to JPay and sent with the deposit slip to: PO Box 260250 Hollywood, FL 33026.
