How Do You Send Money to an Inmate at the Young Criminal Offenders Program?
In order to get money to an offender in the Young Criminal Offenders Program, please adhere to these guidelines:
- Personal checks will not be accepted
- It is unwise to send cash in the mail
- Money orders may be sent by mail or dropped off during scheduled visits with the offender to whom the money is going.

- PLEASE NOTE: Howard R. Young Correctional Institution (HRYCI) does not accept money orders at the time of visit
All money orders must include the following information:
- Offender's full name
- Offender's SBI number Call 302-429-7700 to get this number.
- Assigned institution
- Name of the remitter
NOTE: Money sent to an inmate will be credited to the offender's account within 24 hours of receipt (during normal business hours).
