About the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail

In Williamsburg city the local detention facility uses is the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail. This one facility is also responsible for several areas including James City County, York County, and the two cities of Williamsburg and Poquoson.

With new technology they are to process and assess arrestees quickly and assign them to a housing unit that will fit them best and provide the safest arrangements for everyone in the building, and improved security systems ensure the safety of the community and the inmates.

Full medical services are provided to all inmates both for existing health conditions and any illness and injury that may occur during incarceration, as well as full mental health support and access to counseling.

Classes such as basic education for adults are provided to ensure that each inmate leaves with the capability of getting a job or accessing further education.

Prepaid calls (Direct Calls)
With Prepaid Calls you can set up your account so that the inmate can only call you and/or you can just deposit money in their account and they can purchase prepaid phone cards through their commissary and call whoever they choose, provided the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail approves of the phone number.

Quick Connect
