Loudoun Juvenile Detention Center Information

Within Loudoun County the juvenile offenders are housed at the Loudoun Juvenile Detention Center both while they await their trials and pre-disposition and post-disposition. It provides a safe, secure, and supportive environment that aims to rehabilitate each of the residents and provides programs and services to reduce recidivism and provide tools for a successful and productive future. Healthy and balanced meals are provided, along with physical education and recreation time, as well as all necessary medical care, to meet the physical needs of each of the youth. Mental health support including therapy and counseling is provided to support the mental and emotional health, and staff work to display positive social interactions and build a comfortable environment. Academics are taught during the week and each student is expected to attend the 5.5 hours a day that is provided and includes all core subjects as well as GED prep. All marks and credits are provided upon release and can be transferred to their home school. Parents may provide prescription medication to the staff for correct distribution by the medical staff in its original, labelled containers. Mail: Youth Name P.O. Phones: No incoming calls are accepted for the residents; however, they are provided with time for calls to their approved contacts twice each week. Visitation: Residents are permitted to have two visits each week, of 30 minutes each visit, with only their approved visitors from parents and legal guardians.   • Youth are allowed two family visits per week for 30 minutes.
  • Parents/legal guardians are approved visitors unless otherwise stated by a Court Order or Legal Guardian.
