About the Davis County Correctional Facility

Davis County Jail is the main holding and detention facility for not only Davis County but all communities within, and can be used to hold federal inmates as needed. It also operates the ankle monitoring program which allows non violent offenders an alternative to full time incarceration by tracking their location and offering limited movements to work, or assisting the facility's employees with work around the community. This lowers the pressure and overcrowding potential from the jail while still ensuring that strict rules are being followed while serving their sentence. For those who do not qualify for this program, they are housed full time in the jail. To determine if someone is incarcerated at this facility an online listing includes all inmates, the amount of bail, and their charges at the link above this section.

Incarceration is focused on rehabilitation and improving skills to prevent a return to jail in the future, and this is supported not only by the education programs within the jail, the ability to learn and work with the county employees on ankle monitoring, as well as commissary purchases for hygiene and other items, and phone calls to family with visits from friends and family as well. Each of these aspects of the experience work to help the inmate avoid a return to jail and to successfully reintegrate into their community once they are released. Commissary accounts can be funded through the kiosk within the lobby or through jailatm.com.

Gift packets can also be purchased at this website and sent directly to the inmate. Supporting ongoing contact with friend and family has shown to improve the mental health and the emotional health of the inmates, and this can be done via email, phone calls, and visits through NCIC; instructions in the sections below. Online visits through that site are available each day from 9am to 11:30am, 12:30pm to 5pm, and 7pm to 9pm. Onsite visits are permitted Monday and Tuesday from 9am to noon and 1pm to 5pm, and Sunday and Wednesday from 1-5pm and 7-9pm. Visits must be scheduled a day in advance, and two onsite visits of 20 minutes are allowed each week, with two visits each day being permitted for online visits.

Inmate Money Accounts

How Do You Deposit Money for an Inmate in the Davis County Correctional Facility?

There are FOUR options for putting money on an inmate's books:

Option 1 - Dropping Money at the Jail
Bring money to the jail in person.
Either the jail personnel will process the Inmate Account payment or you will use a Jail ATM self-serve kiosk in the lobbies that accepts cash, debit or credit cards.

Option 2 - Deposit Inmate Money Online
Davis County Correctional Facility uses Jail ATM to process all online deposits to an inmate's account. The company charges you a small fee for doing so, but the fee probably isn't as much as gas and parking would cost to take it to the jail in person.

Option 3 - Mail the Inmate Deposit to the Jail
Mailing a deposit takes more time to process than the other methods but can be done if you live too far away to bring it in person and you don't have a debit/credit card for online deposits. Never send cash. Always send a Money Order from the US Post Office, a reputable bank or Western Union. Call the Davis County Correctional Facility first as they may want you to do this online or at the jail kiosk instead.
Make the Money Order out to the inmate's name and put their Inmate ID# in memo section of the Money Order.
