Victoria Regional Juvenile Justice Center Information

Housing both pre and post adjudicated juvenile offenders, the Victoria Regional Juvenile Justice Facility accepts those who are 10-17 years old who are awaiting their trial or who have been assigned to the facility. While it accepts both male and female youth, it has specialized programs for post-adjudicated pregnant females and provides additional services for them. The programs are designed to improve understanding and engagement for social responsibility, empathy, and self-discipline, and this is achieved through specialized services and individual and group activities. Services provided include counseling for both individuals as well as families, psychiatric care, the Hope Center, religious services, educational services, and even simulator welding classes. Pregnant offenders will receive prenatal and post-partum care, physical activities, parenting classes, and participate in the Baby, Think It Over Program. Group services are also provided to encourage youth to support each other and to learn together, including anger management, Thruthought, substance abuse and drug education, and others.
