The JUSTICE Boot Camp was transitioned to the Robert N Barnes Regional Juvenile Facility, and it now houses up to 40 residents who are assigned to the location for a supervised, structured, and secure program. A therapeutic approach is taken and focus on specific needs for individuals including general offenders, offenders who have issues with substance abuse, and females who have complex trauma issues, and a treatment and support services program is created for each to meet their needs. It accepts youth who are aged 14 to 17 and provides support services for the families at the same time as the youth, preparing both for their reunification at the end of the program. Youth must be medically, physically, and psychologically stable before their admittance to the facility, for their own safety and the safety of others, and those who are not will be admitted to other care centers. Those who have a history of sexual assaultive behavior, who have a history of psychosis, or who have a history of violent or other behaviors that may put other residents at risk. Mail: All mail must be approved, and only those contacts who are permitted contact, who are not involved in the same case or a victim of the youth, or who are not in other detention centers will be allowed contact. Phone: Phones are available for emergencies or for youth to call and update their parents or guardians, only during approved days and times which will be provided to the parents upon intake. Visitation: All visitors, including parents or guardians, must be approved before they are able to book a visit during the provided visiting times.
