Within the campus is the probation office with 5 probation officers and 3 community activity officers, transportation of youth who are residing in the detention facility to medical or court appointments, and the staff are well trained in supervising, detaining, advising, and referring youth for the services that will best meet their needs. A community approach is taken that engages the cooperation of parents, schools, law enforcement, attorneys, and other agencies. Special programs are provided for drug and alcohol education, educational assistance, intensive substance abuse classes, parenting classes, counseling, community service, GED classes, and mental health services. The residential program consists of pre and post adjudication housing for juvenile offenders, the nonresidential programs include probation, community service, restitution, drug testing, and more. Substance abuse assessments, treatments, and counseling are provided through this program. Community partnerships allow you to maintain a sense of community during any detention and provide a connection to their community before they are released.
