It features a two-story design with a 29-bed jail, two courtrooms, and offices for the Police Department, 911 Dispatch, Utility Billing, and the County Tax Office.

The City of Pearland set a requirement for LEED Certification for the project, which focuses on sustainable building practices. However, the project team went above and beyond and achieved LEED Silver certification. During construction, the waste service company diligently sorted all recyclable materials, resulting in over 85 percent of all construction waste being recycled. Additionally, 39 percent of the materials used in the project were made from recyclable materials.

The completion of the Pearland Public Safety Building is a significant milestone for the city. Not only does it house five different city and county operations, but it is also a fortified structure capable of withstanding wind gusts of up to 145 MPH. Furthermore, 95 percent of the building has access to emergency power, making it an essential command center during hurricanes or other emergencies.

Books
The Pearland City Jail allows books to be mailed directly to the jail from a reputable source such as AmazonBarnes & Noble or Books-A-Million. You can order them directly from your computer and have them shipped to the inmate at the address noted.
