Housing over 30 juvenile offenders, the Bell County Juvenile Services Center is recorded to have over 60 new beds being used in 2024, increasing the top capacity to meet demand and comfort for all residents. It provides secure location for both male and female juveniles and allows for them to remain safe, also providing safety for the surrounding community. John H Wood Inspire Academy provides educational services for all students during any length of detention, both keeping youth busy during the day and providing tasks to assist in their finishing school. Classes run year round, in addition to other programs that will support the juveniles in gaining new life skills, crisis intervention, mental health treatments including counseling, and treatment for substance abuse. Youth in the facility are between the ages of 10 and 17, with youth who are 18 or older going to the local adult facility for their detention. Cognitive behavioral therapy programs are used to improve the behavior and the decision making of the residents.
