About the Tipton County Jail

The Tipton County Sheriff’s Office is the agency responsible for the operation of the Tipton County Jail and the care and protection of the offenders within and the community surrounding it.

Accepting both male and female inmates, as well as those who have committed felonies and those who are charged with misdemeanors, the Tipton County Jail consists of several housing units, laundry facilities, a kitchen to provide three meals each day for all residents, recreational areas both outside and indoors, scheduled recreation activities, exercise areas, a medical space with staff to care for all medical concerns, mental health professionals for counseling and treatments, and programs for educational needs, life skills, and social skills.

The inmates are offenders arrested in Tipton County that have recently been arrested for a felony or misdemeanor, are awaiting trial, or have been found guilty for their crime(s) and have been sentenced to one year or less.

Another way in which mental health for inmates is addressed is through contact with their support system who are outside of the facility through mail, calls, and visits.

What is the Cost of a Remote Video Visit?
Costs vary and are subject to change, but generally visits range from $5.00 to $15.00 for a 15 to 30 minute online or on-site video visit.

How do you know if your Inmate will be available during the time you schedule?
The Securus system knows the times that Tipton County Jail inmates are available for remote video visits.
