The Macon County Justice Center is the home of all of the law enforcement agencies for the county. Within the building are the courtrooms for all present courts, clerks, misdemeanor probation, youth services, Macon County Sheriff’s Department, and the Macon County Jail.
By housing all of the necessary agencies together there is a consistency throughout the process and they will be interacting with the same individuals throughout the process from arrest to trial to detention and probation.
It also provides housing for the juvenile offenders, who are kept separate from the adult detainees at all times. Youth are able to complete their schoolwork and will have assistance with it during their stay, as well as laundry services, healthy meals three times a day and a snack, access to writing materials and mail services, recreational space, and activities for their free time and for educational and rehabilitative purposes. A strict standard for behavior and interactions with others is maintained, and the regular schedule teaches discipline and consistency.

Option 1 - Dropping Money at the Jail
Bring money to the jail in person.
Either the jail personnel will process the Inmate Account payment or you will use a Jail ATM self-serve kiosk in the lobbies that accepts cash, debit or credit cards.
Option 2 - Deposit Inmate Money Online
Macon County Jail uses Jail ATM to process all online deposits to an inmate's account. The company charges you a small fee for doing so, but the fee probably isn't as much as gas and parking would cost to take it to the jail in person.
Option 3 - Mail the Inmate Deposit to the Jail
Mailing a deposit takes more time to process than the other methods but can be done if you live too far away to bring it in person and you don't have a debit/credit card for online deposits. Never send cash. Always send a Money Order from the US Post Office, a reputable bank or Western Union. Call the Macon County Jail first as they may want you to do this online or at the jail kiosk instead.
Make the Money Order out to the inmate's name and put their Inmate ID# in memo section of the Money Order.
