About the Gibson County Correctional Complex

INTERESTING FACTS about the Gibson County Correctional Complex: A 2021 program to reduce recidivism has reduced the number of repeat offenders. The sheriff recognized that often times financial difficulties resulting from being incarcerated were making re-entry difficult. A focus on education while being incarcerated has helped dropped this number. A new program to encourage inmates to learn a trade has also helped lower the number of repeat offenders. The facility was built in 1986 and has 329 beds.

WIth over 100 video cameras and a central command station, the security at the Gibson County Correctional Complex is advanced and allows for the incarceration of all Gibson County inmates on either felony or misdemeanor charges as they wait for their trial or serve a sentence.

Bail can be paid at the lobby in exact change or online, and the commissary allows those who do not qualify or can’t make bail to access hygiene supplies and other items, which can be funded online or at the lobby kiosk.

They may not be directly connected to the internet, but inmates at Gibson County Correctional Complex are provided free tablets to use within the jail that allow them to have access to the following services and information:
