⇓ Learn more ⇓ Show lessINTERESTING FACTS about the Franklin County Jail: In 2020, a 140-bed facility addition was completed, increasing the capacity to 262. The new addition has pods. Plans for a new tower were approved in 2022, that will add more space for training, and to consolidate the control room into the one new tower facility, but is still under construction. The objective of the tower is to combine the two separate buildings into the one facility.
The Sheriff of Franklin County is also responsible for the care and control of all inmates arrested on misdemeanor or felony charges while they wait for their trial or sentence, and if they are serving a short sentence of only a few months in the Franklin County Jail.
Staff are onsite around the clock to care for all the needs of the inmates including meals, laundry, safety, commissary, phone access, and programs to reduce recidivism.
Nursing staff care for the medical needs of inmates both as they arrive and during their incarceration, and office staff are able to answer basic information on inmates and procedures at 931-962-0123 as well as updating the online information on inmate status.
Commissary and phone accounts are funded at the kiosk in the lobby or they may be accessed online after the first 10 days of incarceration.. Visits are scheduled directly with the jail by calling 931-962-0123.

Any magazines that contain profanity, weapons, pornography or other content that is adult in nature will be confiscated by the jail staff and will NOT be delivered to the inmate.
