About the Lake County Jail
Lake County Jail is focused on the positive rehabilitation of inmates to ensure they are able to successfully reintegrate after their release and to treat each person in a humane way. They work to protect the community, both within the jail and outside of it following all laws and regulations. In order to help maintain this balance and to ensure that the mental health of inmates is cared for, all inmates are encouraged to interact and keep in contact with their loved ones who are not incarcerated. To do so each inmate is asked to provide to the jail a list of people they would like to be able to call with their daily phone calls as well as one of who they would like to receive visits from. For a full list of inmates within the facility the following page is updated each day https://intuviosolutions.blob.core.windows.net/templator-uploads/Uploads/documents/34/Current_Inmate_List_2023-03-31_08.00.51.pdf Visits for inmates occur on Wednesdays at 1pm, Friday and Sunday at 6:30pm each. Only immediate family will be permitted for visits, and attorneys may visit any weekday from 8am until 8pm. While incarcerated inmates are each provided with toiletries and can purchase additional items through the commissary, which can be funded at jailatm.com. Phones are funded through reliancetelephone.com and can be used during the day, with no incoming calls being accepted. Inmates are able to send and receive text messages through Reliance Telephone, which can be funded at the same website.

Inmate Money Accounts

How Do You Deposit Money for an Inmate in the Lake County Jail?

There are FOUR options for putting money on an inmate's books:

Option 1 - Dropping Money at the Jail
Bring money to the jail in person.
Either the jail personnel will process the Inmate Account payment or you will use a Jail ATM self-serve kiosk in the lobbies that accepts cash, debit or credit cards.

Option 2 - Deposit Inmate Money Online
Lake County Jail uses Jail ATM to process all online deposits to an inmate's account. The company charges you a small fee for doing so, but the fee probably isn't as much as gas and parking would cost to take it to the jail in person.

Option 3 - Mail the Inmate Deposit to the Jail
Mailing a deposit takes more time to process than the other methods but can be done if you live too far away to bring it in person and you don't have a debit/credit card for online deposits. Never send cash. Always send a Money Order from the US Post Office, a reputable bank or Western Union. Call the Lake County Jail first as they may want you to do this online or at the jail kiosk instead.
Make the Money Order out to the inmate's name and put their Inmate ID# in memo section of the Money Order.
