Located within the updated Law Enforcement Center within Potter County, the Sheriff Office runs the local jail. On the website for the Potter County Sheriff a list of active warrants as well as an updates list of those who have recently been booked into the facility is accessible. The facility has a medical section that consists of 23 medical beds as well as a trauma room, exam room, pharmacy, and a space for dental care. Both a dentist and a doctor visit regularly to see patients as well as help supervise the onsite staff of EMTs, paramedics, and RNs. There are 9 full time medical staff for the facility. Several programs are also in place to assist inmates in improving their skills and learning new capabilities during their incarceration. Life skills, illness management and recovery, mental health supports, religious programming, and more are all intended to improve success after release. Access to commissary is also provided, and can be funded at accesscoirrections.com or through the kiosk in the lobby, as well as a phone program that can be funded at the kiosks. To visit an inmate it is necessary to be added to the inmate approved visitor list and to schedule one of two 20 minute visits each inmate is provided weekly. All visits are non-contact and the visiting hours are 8:30am to 11:30am and 6:30pm-9:20pm Monday through Friday. Visiting days are based upon the last name of the inmate with Mondays being A-D, Tuesday E-J, Wednesday K-N, Thursday O-R and Friday S-Z.
