About the Fall River County Jail
The Fall River County jail is operated by the sheriff for the county. The Sheriff’s Office is also responsible for all finger printing for job or volunteer opportunities, all of the bookings in the area, the concealed weapons permits, and serving papers for civil issues. Due to the rate at which the bookings and releases change there is no list published of their detainees. The dispatch for the jail and sheriff is also responsible for the animal control officers. In order to visit someone who is incarcerated within the jail, each person must be listed on the visitors list provided by the inmate. Only those who are on the list and have been approved, do not have connections to the case, have not recently been released from this or other jails, and are not underage will be allowed to visit. Set visitation hours exist, and each visit is for 15 minutes. Visiting hours include Tuesday 7:30pm – 8:30pm, Saturday and Sunday 12:45pm-2:45pm. Visits are in person but remain no contact, and it is necessary to have ID with a photo to be admitted, and nothing can be taken into the visitation area.
