A combined capacity of 1277 is the top capacity of the entire complex, and it also has a laundry area, welfare, medical wing, dental space, mental health services, and a food service space that provides all of the balanced meals for the combined facilities.
Greenville County Detention 'Building 1' stands a few stories tall with a white concrete build, bared windows that stand two rows high, and a lobby that permits visitors and family to add money to inmate accounts and provide court clothing or other necessities.
The Health Services Division is present onsite and staffed around the clock to provide all medical care as required, and they work with both the Greenville County Detention Center as wll as the Juvenile Detention Facility.
Included health care providers are physicians, psychiatrists, family nurse practitioner, mental health supervisors, nurses, critical care technicians, counselors, and others who will provide all needed services.
Other programs are also provided to encourage personal growth and development of new life skills, improved social skills, and access to educational services that will assist in finding long term employment.
Mail services are also provided and there is no limit to the amount of mail that an inmate can send or receive, with all mail going to an offsite location to be scanned and then entered into a system that will digitally deliver it to the inmates. A kiosk in the housing units allows access to the mail after it has been scanned.

Other Things:
1. Photos must be .jpg, .jpeg or .png.
2. eMessages and photos must meet the jail’s standards for regular mail.
3. If your eMessage or Photo is rejected you will be notified of the reason, but you will NOT get a refund.
