About the Northampton County Community Corrections
Northampton County Corrections provides housing and rehabilitation services to both male and female inmates as well as juveniles, though in separate facilities. The main facility is for adult inmates while juveniles will be taken to the juvenile facility. The adult facility is focused on ensuring that inmates can have access to education, safe treatments, and an opportunity to gain new skills they will use after their release. Several programs are in place to assist inmates to re-enter society after they have served their sentence including help finding a job, a home, and other tools and programs. There are visitation hours each day, and they are organized by housing assignment. They begin at 9am and end at 8:45pm each day, however it is necessary to confirm the housing assignment with the jail and the inmate before scheduling visits as they may be moved within housing units, changing their available time. To arrange visits and to have increased contact, phone privileges are also available every day. Money may be added to the account of an inmate for outgoing calls at offenderconnect.com. For additional ways to contact an inmate a tablet may be used and can be funded through gettingout.com. Each of these services also has access through a kiosk in the lobby of the jail for easy access.

Inmate Money Accounts

How Do You Deposit Money for an Inmate in the Northampton County Community Corrections?

There are four options for putting money on an inmate's books:

Option 1 - Dropping Money at the Jail
Bring money to the jail in person.
Either the jail personnel will process the Inmate Account payment (if it's a money order) or you will use a self-serve kiosk in the lobbies that accepts cash, debit or credit cards.

Option 2 - Deposit Inmate Money Online
Northampton County Community Corrections and others often use a private company to process all online deposits to an inmate's account. The company charges you a small fee for doing so, but the fee probably isn't as much as gas and parking would cost to take it to the jail in person.

Option 3 - Mail the Inmate Deposit to the Jail
Mailing a deposit takes more time to process than the other methods but can be done if you live too far away to bring it in person and you don't have a debit/credit card for online deposits. Never send cash. Always send a Money Order from the US Post Office, a reputable bank or Western Union.
Make the Money Order out to the inmate's name and put their Inmate ID# in memo section of the Money Order.
