About the Lawrence County Corrections Center

Lawrence County Jail is located at 111 S. Milton Street, New Castle, PA. It is the local holding facility for all arrests within the county and services the community around the city as well. Both male and female inmate are booked at this location and will remain until their arraignment, bail is paid, or they have completed their sentence and are being released back into the rest of society.

To improve the success that inmates achieve after they have completed their sentence, and smooth the reintegration process, inmates are encouraged to maintain healthy relationships with their family and friends who are outside of the prison. To do so, each inmate will create a phone list and a visitors list, both of which must be approved by the jail, and they will be able to call those who are on the approved call list and have visits with those who are on the approved visiting list.

Visitors will call the jail the night before they want to visit at 724-654-5384 and will be assigned a 30 minute block of time for their scheduled visit. The days that visits occur are dependent upon the housing unit of the inmate with Bravo and RHU females on Monday, FOX on Tuesdays and Fridays, DELTA Wednesdays and Sundays, CHARLIE on Thursdays and Saturdays, GULF on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Mail can be received every day and is processed and passed to the inmates quickly. In addition to in-person (non contact) visits at the jail, friends and family of inmates in the Lawrence County Corrections Center can arrange to visit inmates by video, both at the jail and remotely from home. They can also send them money and buy them commissary online, and set up a phone account that allows the inmates to call them during the day and evening seven days a week.

All the information on these inmate services can be found in the sections below.  If you still have questions, you can phone the jail 24 hours a day by calling 724-654-5384.
