Shippenville, PA is the location for the Clarion County Corrections facility, and it houses inmates both male and female, while they are awaiting trial or after they have been sentenced.

Operating since 1985, it is a well maintained jail that has a fluctuating population of around 100 inmates, full time staff, and part time employees to fulfill the need for around the clock staffing and supervising.

Visits for F Block are Friday from 5:30pm-8pm, E Block is Saturday 10am-12pm, D Block is Saturday 1pm-4pm, B Block is Saturday 4-5pm, male inmates on sleds 1-2 are Saturday 6-6:30 pm, female inmates from sleds 4-9 are 6:30-7:30pm. A Block has visits on Sundays from 10am-1:30pm, with C Block having Sundays from 1:30-7:30pm.

Inmate Visitation

How Do You Visit an Inmate in the Clarion County Corrections? What is the Schedule?

  • To receive visits from friends and family, inmates will have to fill out a visitation list.
  • Individuals MUST be on an inmate’s approved list in order to visit.
  • Attorneys can visit during normal business hours seven (7) days a week. Any other times require and appointment approved by the Officer in Charge.
  • Changes to visitation lists can only be made once every 30 days. To change a list the inmate will need to fill out a new visitors list and submit the request to the Deputy Warden for approval.
  • No one under the age of 18 years of age will be allowed in the prison without a parent or legal guardian.
  • If a juvenile is not kept under control and causes a distraction, they will be asked to leave the prison and may not be allowed in the prison in the future.
  • Prior incarcerated inmates must be released three (3) months prior to being approved to visit another inmate.
