About the Carbon County Correctional Facility

Replacing the original historic building that was opened in 1870, the new Carbon County Correctional Facility provides for the care and keeping of both male and female inmate throughout Carbon County. The new building has the top security measures and is focused on the safety and the security of the staff and the residents, while also protecting the surrounding community.

Those within the Carbon County Correctional Facility will have been ordered to the facility by the court, have broken their parole or probation, or they are waiting for their trial. Those who qualify for bail, which can be determined by calling the office at 570-325-2211 or checking the online lookup, can be paid in cash or bail bond at the CCCF at 9:00am, 3:30pm, or 8:00pm only.

During incarceration many programs are available in addition to medical care and mental health support or counseling, including drug and alcohol counseling, reentry programs for a smooth reentry to the community, religious programs, and recreational programs.
