About the Seminole County Jail
Locally operated by the sheriff’s office, the Seminole County Jail is the immediate booking facility for the entire county. This facility maintains a focus on rehabilitation of inmates and reducing recidivism rates. To meet this need there are several programs offered for any inmate to attend, including those that are including in some sentences, and treatments for drug and alcohol addictions, parenting, and anger management. The goal for these programs is to help inmates return to society better prepared for a successful life and avoiding a return to jail, while also boosting their employability. A well organized and detailed website has been created for the facility that allows friends and family to locate inmates, book visits on visiting days, learn how to post bail or bond, receive phone calls from inmates, and what items are allowed in the facility. As many people are arrested with no extras on them, the facility will provide clothing for their time there, as well as a comb, toothbrush, soap, and toothpaste. Additional items may be purchased through a commissary account (TIger Correctional Services); however, basic needs and meals will be provided for. Both medical and mental health care are provided. Some sentences may require the offender to serve only the weekends and allow them to return home for the week. Mail can be sent to an inmate at their name 211 E 2nd, Wewoka, OK 74884. Ncic.com offers the opportunity for messages, phone calls, and visits. Visitation schedules are not made known to the general public but will be availalbe online after entering the facility and inmate name as their personal visitation availablity will be listed.

Inmate Money Accounts

How Do You Deposit Money for an Inmate in the Seminole County Jail?

There are three choices for putting money on an inmate's books:

Choice 1 - Dropping Money at the Jail

Bring money to the jail in person.

Jail personnel will process the Inmate Account payment.

Seminole County Jail has a Tiger Kiosk in the Lobby that accepts cash, debit or credit cards.

If you can't get your questions answered online call the Seminole County Jail at 405-257-6235.

Choice 2 - Deposit Inmate Money Online

Seminole County Jail and others often use a private company to process all online deposits to an inmate's account. The company charges you a small fee for doing so, but the fee probably isn't as much as gas and parking would cost to take it to the jail in person.

Go to the online site for depositing funds. You will need to register an account, which is free to do and use a debit/credit card for the deposits.

Choice 3 - Mail the Inmate Deposit to the Jail

Mailing a deposit takes more time to process than the other methods but can be done if you live too far away to bring it in person and you don't have a debit/credit card for online deposits. Never send cash. Always send a Money Order from the US Post Office, a reputable bank or Western Union.

Make the Money Order out to the inmate's name and put their Inmate ID# in memo section of the Money Order.

Call Seminole County Jail at 405-257-6235 to confirm the address to send the money order to and how they want it made out.

Failure to do this properly will delay your inmate getting his account credited and may require you to have to resubmit a second money order.

Call 405-257-6235 to ask facility personnel who to make the money order out to, and where to send it.
