The single floor building is well suited to its location with bars on the windows that signify its purpose. It was built in 1975 and has space for 65 beds for detainees who are awaiting their trial or who are currently at trial and waiting for a verdict and sentence. Inmates may be offered the opportunity to work in the offices or on the cleaning crews, as a way to use their employable skills and to fill their time while incarcerated. This also provides an increased opportunity to find employment after their release. Visitors are encouraged as a way to boost inmate morale and keep them focused on the lives they can build after their release. These visits are all done with a no contact system where video kiosks are used to video call the visitors. Both onsite and offsite visits are available, and there are visiting hours every week. Onsite visits are conducted during the business hours of the facility from 8am until 5pm, with offsite visits being available during daytime hours while inmate are not on lockdown, no earlier thatn 7:30am and no later than 9pm.
