About the Grant County Jail
Medford, Oklahoma, is the home of the Grand County Sheriff’s Office that is situated direction across from the courthouse, on the main street. These were built in 1937 and have been updated and added to as needed. The jail is a brick building that stands two stories high and has the long, narrow windows that have become common in jail facilities. Within the main building, across from the courthouse, contains the sheriff offices, the dispatch center, and the jail with a capacity of 39 beds. As it holds such a small number of inmates, this facility functions as a temporary housing unit for people when they are arrested. Any detainee, male or female, that is arrested in the area is taken to this facility and booked. The close location to the courthouse makes it easy to transport inmates when they have a court date. Mail is not encouraged due to the short time that most inmates will stay in the facility. People leave when they are released on bail, are found not guilty, complete a short sentence, or are transferred to a larger and more capable facility for a long sentence. Phone calls and visits are provided through prodigysales.com and visiting hours are from 9-11am and 1-4pm on weekdays, with no visits on weekends.

Inmate Money Accounts

How Do You Deposit Money for an Inmate in the Grant County Jail?

There are three choices for putting money on an inmate's books:

Choice 1 - Dropping Money at the Jail

Bring money to the jail in person.

Jail personnel will process the Inmate Account payment.

Grant County Jail has a Tiger Kiosk in the Lobby that accepts cash, debit or credit cards.

If you can't get your questions answered online call the Grant County Jail at 580-395-2356.

Choice 2 - Deposit Inmate Money Online

Grant County Jail and others often use a private company to process all online deposits to an inmate's account. The company charges you a small fee for doing so, but the fee probably isn't as much as gas and parking would cost to take it to the jail in person.

Go to the online site for depositing funds. You will need to register an account, which is free to do and use a debit/credit card for the deposits.

Choice 3 - Mail the Inmate Deposit to the Jail

Mailing a deposit takes more time to process than the other methods but can be done if you live too far away to bring it in person and you don't have a debit/credit card for online deposits. Never send cash. Always send a Money Order from the US Post Office, a reputable bank or Western Union.

Make the Money Order out to the inmate's name and put their Inmate ID# in memo section of the Money Order.

Call Grant County Jail at 580-395-2356 to confirm the address to send the money order to and how they want it made out.

Failure to do this properly will delay your inmate getting his account credited and may require you to have to resubmit a second money order.

Call 580-395-2356 to ask facility personnel who to make the money order out to, and where to send it.
