About the Morrow County Correctional Facility

Morrow County Correctional Facility is where locally arrested offenders are processed and held, and also operates as the local detention center for the ICE program. It houses both male and female inmates, and has visitation hours, meals, and recreation all planned to keep the female and male inmates separate as well as keeping a security balance in order to maintain safety for all inmates and staff.

It is run by the Morrow County Sheriff Office, which has a department for Sheriff staff and Corrections staff. Each is trained for their specific duties, but many are also cross trained on other procedures. In the event an emergency occurs staff can react together, and they may need to assist in areas other than their regular positions.

This facility has 126 beds and can hold that many inmates at any one time. Both misdemeanors and felonies can be housed here both while they are awaiting trial and to serve their sentence. A full range of services and facilities are available, including food services, commissary, laundry, and counselling services.

Medication is provided according to prescriptions provided and over the counter medication may be purchased through the commissary program.

IC Solutions is the same company that handles inmate phone systems, video visitations, email and texting and digital letters.

The tablets can be rented on a monthly basis and while not directly connected to the internet, the inmates can use them for the following activities:

  • Phone Calls - Inmates may make calls directly from their tablet allowing for more privacy. The rates are the same as the phones in the unit, and the calls are still recorded and monitored.
  • eMessaging - Communicate via a text based message or picture. Fee based system.
  • Education - Free educational platform and course catalog that provides thousands of educational resources.
  • Self Help -Inmates have daily access to mental health and addiction recovery programming.
  • Music - Top-40, Hip-Hop, Country, Rock, Gospel, and more.
  • Law Library -  Legal research with up-to-date case information.
  • eBooks - Thousands of available titles.
  • Religion - Religious resources for spiritual guidance.
  • Games - Inmates can play their favorite games. Available through monthly subscriptions
  • Facility Services - Digital access to submitted forms, requests, facility documents, and notifications from staff.
