In Painesville, Ohio, the Lake County Juvenile Detention Center houses all of the newly arrested young offenders as well as those who are serving a sentence. Each of the programs is aimed to assist in the correct assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and skills that will aid the youth in reintegrating into their community and building successful futures. Focus is maintained on the health and well being of each offender and they are permitted to have contact with only their immediate family from outside of the facility. As each of the detainees are school aged, their classes will continue during their detention, and they will also have access to arts and crafts, physical activity, and recreation. Phones: Each young offender will be permitted one phone call upon their arrival at the facility and will then have access on a need base or if they earn calls with the Levels Program. Visits are 30 minutes long and three visits are allowed each week. Times are Wednesday and Sunday 6pm-7:30pm and Saturday 9am-10:30am.
