About the Jackson County Correctional Facility

Located in Jackson city in Ohio, the Jackson County Correctional Facility houses all of the newly arrested offenders and provides their first court visit. To avoid unnecessary transportation and the risks that are included each time an offender is moved to a different building, these appearances are done from the jail via videoconference. The same rights apply, and an inmate can have their lawyer present for these court calls.

The booking portion of the facility offers space for people to be processed quickly and moved from holding cells to their assigned cells. Booking includes the recording of a full name and contact information, fingerprinting, and recording the details of the arrest. This information can then be used to ensure the inmates are all held responsible only for their own charges and gives the offender necessary information to provide to their family, friends, or a bail bondsman in order to be bailed out.

To determine if your loved one is being held in this facility an online search is available.

You can then book a visit, add money to their commissary account, proceed to bail them out so they can await their court date at home, and even send mail.

Visits may be scheduled to occur on Saturdays and Sundays from noon until 5 pm, with the last appointment beginning at 4:30 pm.
