To ensure that they can have correct housing for inmates they are part of the group that use the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.
Along with three other counties and the local Marshal funding and resources are combined to support the center. While at the facility there are several programs that are offered or required for each inmate based upon their personal situation and needs. Parenting programs, community service, work release, GED, substance abuse, and many other groups and educational programs are available.
The goal of the facility is to help inmates to learn how to accept responsibility for their actions, make positive changes in their lives, and refer them to support outside of the prison for their release. Visits are provided via a video system either from the lobby between the hours of 12 pm and 2:30 pm and then again from 5 pm until 7 pm, or from an offsite computer from 7:30 am until 10 am, 12 pm - 2:30 pm, and 5 pm until 9:30 pm.
