About the Hamilton County Jail - Talbert House

Talbert House is one of the branches of the Hamilton County Jail system. It is a minimum security facility and houses up to 172 male inmates at a time. Both those who are charged with state and federal crimes are housed in this facility. As a minimum security location, it houses those who are facing misdemeanors or nonviolent felonies.

Offenders who are considered to be violent or who are serving long sentences for felonies may find themselves transferred to a larger facility that has higher levels of security. This is also the location that supports many other programs, such as alternative sentencing. This can include serving weekends, treatment programs that take place across weekends or other spans of time that are set, and programs focused on preventing DUIs. These alternative programs aim to help offenders who plead guilty to some misdemeanors to gain knowledge, education, and new skills to prevent future occurrences, while helping them to avoid a traditional jail sentence.

For those in custody visits are allowed for friends and family on site Monday to Friday 5:30 until 7 pm, with remote visits being 5:30 to 8:40 in the afternoon and evening, Saturdays 9 am until 8:40 pm and Sundays 11am until 8:40 pm. Rehabilitation programs for those struggling with drug or alcohol abuse are also present. Most of these alternative programs require referral to the program from the courts and are limited in the number of clients that they can have at one time.

Inmate Money Accounts

How Do You Deposit Money for an Inmate in the Hamilton County Jail - Talbert House?

Choice 1 - Deposit Inmate Money Online

Hamilton County Jail - Talbert House uses CommissaryDeposit.com to process all online deposits to an inmate's account. The company charges you a small fee for doing so, but the fee probably isn't as much as gas and parking would cost to take it to the jail in person.

Make the Money Order out to the inmate's name and put their Inmate ID# in memo section of the Money Order.
