About the Middletown City Jail

Located in Middletown Ohio, the Middletown jail, run by the Middletown Police, is a full service facility.

It has 11 full time correction officers and the average population on a daily basis is 50 inmates. To assist in the care of all the inmates there are several contracted employees who are responsible for cooking the meals, medical staff to care for the ongoing and emergency medical needs of all on site, and a deputy chief.

All rules for visitation and items that can be provided by the family or friends are all listed on the website to prepare visitors in advance. To schedule a visit, you must call the morning you want to visit and schedule a time during the visiting hours. These hours run Sunday noon to 2, Tuesday 9-11am, and Thursday 6:30pm to 9pm. Inmates are allowed to have one half hour visit each week. Identification is required to schedule and when you arrive for your visit.

Money can be added to the account of an inmate at the front desk, and there are some items that are also allowed to be dropped off during visiting or business hours. Any money over $100 requires prior approval, new bras and underwear can be provided if they are in the original packaging, and medication that is required by an inmate can be left for medical staff to check then it will be supplied to the inmate.
