C.A. Dillon Youth Detention Center Information

The CA Dillion Regional Juvenile Detention Center serves the county and surroundings areas by housing juveniles who require detention for a variety of reasons and providing other youth services to the communities. As well as running the secure detention for youth who are waiting for a court date, who are waiting for transfer to another facility, or who are being housed for a short period, they also provide alternatives to detention, treatment for addictions and other concerns, and transports youth to and from court dates or medical appointments. There are 35 beds in the building, and they accept both male and female juveniles. To determine housing, education needs, mental health care, medical care, and other services and programs that will best serve each juvenile, an assessment is done during intake. Schooling occurs each day during the week and is based upon the local public school, and they will be provided with additional learning opportunities for both life and social skills throughout each week. Only those who do not qualify or for whom the diversions to detention did not work, will be detained.
